We are the string trio TriNity, consisting of academically trained classical musicians\u2014violinist Vivijana Rogina, cellist Gorazd Strli\u010d, and violist Petar Njegovan. We are all colleagues and members of the symphony orchestra of the Maribor Opera Theatre, where we were brought together by a shared love of music.<\/p>

We founded the trio with the desire to make music together beyond the confines of symphonic and operatic repertoire. With this ensemble, we explore a wide range of musical genres and introduce audiences to the distinctive approach to chamber music that a string trio offers. We believe the trio is a unique form of collective expression, in which a rich palette of sounds, harmonies, and emotions is interwoven through three voices.<\/p>

Unlike traditional chamber ensembles, where balance is achieved among four voices, we create fullness, sonic freedom, and a powerful harmonic and musical expression with three equal voices. It is precisely this challenge and distinctiveness of the string trio that inspire us to reach the widest possible audience through music.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Vivijana Rogina was born in 1998 in Slovenj Gradec. She began her musical journey at the age of five at the Velenje Music School, studying with Prof. Danica Koren, and later continued her education at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet with Prof. Tatjana \u0160pragar. In 2021, she graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Prof. Vasilij Meljnikov, and in 2024 she completed her master\u2019s degree under his mentorship with distinction, also receiving a diploma with special commendation summa cum laude.<\/p>

During her studies, she participated in numerous national and international competitions, achieving top awards. She is a recipient of the Pre\u0161eren Award of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and the Berneker Plaque for artistic activity and creative work in the Carinthia region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a soloist, she has performed with the Cantabile Symphony Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Maribor, the Stretto Chamber String Orchestra, and the Chamber String Orchestra of the Academy of Music. She performs regularly in various chamber ensembles.<\/p>

She has collaborated with Oksana Pe\u010deny, Benjamin Ziervogl, Ana Dol\u017ean, Jaka Stadler, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Kuti, Maru\u0161a Bogataj, Maja Rome, Izak Hudnik, Michael Gieler, Zoran Mitev, and others. She is a permanent member of the string trio TriNity and the family quartet 4Strings. In a duo with pianist Sae Lee, she has performed as part of the concert series organized by Glasbena mladina ljubljanska and Mladi virtuozi. She is a regular guest at the Carpe Artem chamber concert series and a member of the ensemble Dissonance.<\/p>

From 2023 to 2025, she was employed in the orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Maribor. After successfully passing an audition, she became concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Ivan pl. Zajc Opera in Rijeka in 2025. She has further refined her skills through numerous masterclasses and seminars with Professors Christophe Poiget, Igor Ozim, Wonji Kim, Vesna Stankovi\u0107, Nade\u017eda Tokareva, Sihana Badivuku, Martyn Vink, Nahman Sluchin, and Lana Trotov\u0161ek.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Petar Njegovan was born in Pula. He began his musical education with violin studies in the class of Prof. Sanja Pan\u010devski at the Slavko Zlati\u0107 Primary Music School in Pore\u010d. He graduated with special distinction summa cum laude in viola performance under Professor Emil Cantor at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He is the recipient of numerous awards at national and international competitions.<\/p>

He regularly collaborates in various chamber ensembles and orchestras and presents recitals and solo performances. He has worked with renowned Slovenian and international musicians such as Oksana Pe\u010deny, Alja\u017e Cvirn, Milan Hudnik, Vivijana Rogina, Izak Hudnik, Vasilij Meljnikov, Milo\u0161 Mlejnik, Zoran Markovi\u0107, Emil Cantor, Maja Rome, Gorjan Ko\u0161uta, Sandro Ve\u0161ligaj, Izidor Erazem Grafenauer, Michael Gieler, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Kuti, Benjamin Ziervogl, and others. Together with the renowned Croatian guitarist Sa\u0161a Dejanovi\u0107, he performs in a permanent viola\u2013guitar duo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

He is a permanent member of the string quartet 4Strings, the string trio TriNity, and the ensemble Dissonance. Since his first year of viola studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, he has collaborated as a regular guest member with professional orchestras. He performs with the RTV Slovenia Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, and the Slovenian Philharmonic.<\/p>

Izpopolnjeval se je pri svetovno priznanih violistih, med njimi Garthu Knoxu, Atarju Aradu, Vincentu Royerju in Nobuku Imai. Leta 2021 je po uspe\u0161no opravljeni avdiciji za vodjo sekcije viol v Simfoni\u010dnem orkestru SNG Maribor deloval kot gostujo\u010di solo violist v obdobju od novembra 2021 do marca 2022. Trenutno je zaposlen kot violist v Simfoni\u010dnem orkestru SNG Maribor.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Gorazd Strli\u010d is an established Slovenian cellist. Since 2004, he has been employed as principal cellist of the Orchestra of the Opera and Ballet Maribor, and since 2023 he has also been teaching at the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet. He has been playing the cello since the age of seven.<\/p>

He studied with Vladimir Kova\u010di\u010d and Ciril \u0160kerjanec at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he completed a postgraduate specialist program in 2006. His repertoire spans works from the Baroque period to contemporary music. As a soloist, he has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, the Youth Orchestra, the Maribor Chamber String Orchestra, and others. In 2023, he gave the world premiere of the Second Concerto for Cello and Orchestra composed by Slovenian composer Jani Golob.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

He is deeply dedicated to chamber music and performs in a variety of ensembles. For many years, he was a member of the SpiriArt Trio, Inquartet, and Trio Maribor, and he is currently active in the trio TriNity. He regularly performs at renowned festivals such as the Ljubljana Festival, Lent Festival, Maribor Festival, and Cellofest. He also frequently collaborates in the Carpe Artem chamber music series with distinguished soloists.<\/p>

He is the recipient of numerous top prizes at national and international competitions, as well as the Klasinc Award of the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet and the Student Pre\u0161eren Award of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
